Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I find for more information about the campaign and how to get involved?
There is a website, www.thisispublichealth.org, which includes information about the campaign, an engaging educational video, and photos from campaign activities happening nationwide.

Where can I order more stickers?
You can contact ASPH at stickers@asph.org or by calling (202) 296-1099.

How many stickers can I order?
As many as you want. We've had organizations order as few as 10 stickers or as many as 1500. The more stickers used that can publicize public health, the better, so don't be shy. (We'll be sure to let you know if you've ordered more than we can give you.)

How can I use the stickers?
There are various ways in which the stickers can be used. A few recommendations:

  • A photo essay contest where people tell a story of public health through pictures with every picture containing the "This is Public Health" sticker.
  • A scavenger hunt using stickers to mark checkpoints in a community-wide race, which can both educate the individual and have them become acclimated with the community.
  • Sticker Ambush where a group picks an important public health issue and places the sticker on items representing the issue (i.e. water treatment as the issue and a water fountain as one example).

Currently, pictures involving the stickers are being posted online in the Flickr group “This is Public Health Stickers” ( http://www.flickr.com/groups/683857@N21/ ) and mapped at http://www.thisispublichealth.org/map.html. Further instructions for posting the pictures can be found at: http://www.thisispublichealth.org/TIPH_instructions.pdf

Videos have also been filmed with the stickers. Many of these videos have been posted on www.youtube.com and www.thisispublichealth.org.
Examples of videos can be found at: http://www.thisispublichealth.org/schools.html

Can my organization get an electronic copy of the sticker?
Yes, click here to download the sticker in PDF format.

What other organizations are part of the "This is Public Health" campaign?
The “This is Public Health” campaign is for anyone and everyone who wants to increase an understanding and appreciation for public health. The TIPH stickers were piloted on 19 student groups at schools of public health around the country in April and since then, over 100 public health practice organizations, individuals and other academic institutions have joined the campaign as well. If you know of any other organizations or individuals who would like to be part of this national message, please forward them this link: http://www.thispublichealth.org.
